Wind Facts & Figures in China
The world's second largest market for wind power with 6,246 MW of new capacity in 2008. This was 92% more than in 2007.
The Chinese market has experienced explosive growth and in end 2008 the cumulative wind power capacity reached 12,121 MW.
The cumulative wind power capacity in China in 2013 is expected to reach 54,921 MW. China will therefore be the second largest market in the world in terms of annual additions, after the United States.
